I got this router in my hands. It became very interesting to untie him from the operator DOM.RU.
I did quite a bit of work, namely:
1. With the help of the programmer leaked Fullflesh
2. Stretched the FS area from Fullflesh and unpacked it.
3. Determined the possibility of changing the parameters of the router through the web interface. All menu items become active even on the native firmware from DOM.RU!
4. Defined scripts that do not allow to use the router in the networks of other providers. Even if I configure PPTP or just DHCP, when I go to any site, the router redirects to its page and does not let it into the world.
5. From the site of the developer of this device (NetGear) downloaded the source. But they are not complete. There are no files in the Web folder. And it looks like the old core.
6. I managed to find the original update package JWNR2000v4-V04.00.01.upg from the provider DOM.RU. Unpacked FS. At first glance, it is identical to mine from Fullflesh.
7. There was an attempt to build the firmware from source. If we compile the archive from the developers, we end up withNon working firmwarebecause it will have an empty web folder. It will weigh approximately 4mb, and the working firmware weighs 6.7 mb.
8. Next I tried to compile the firmware with the substitution of the web folder from Fullflash withremote scripts. The firmware was compiled and weighed as expected. I fed the router and got a cyclic reboot. Although sometimes he managed to get into the admin area.

Firmware update can be on this router without any problems. Web muzzle based software Netgear Genie. To upgrade the firmware, the file must have the extension .UPG.
UPG is a container in which there is:
1. FS squashfs compressed lzma
2. Header (header) - as far as I understand it is stored checksums and possibly the firmware version.

So your firmware looks different. therefore, the router will not accept it as a firmware.
